The elephant has long been a symbol of strength, power, virility,
longevity, fidelity, dignity, intelligence and wisdom and
is considered a sacred creature. In many cultures, the elephant
is admired as the most marvellous creature in creation.
In Feng Shui, the elephant is used for a variety of reasons:
LOVE - The elephant can be displayed to promote love
and fidelity among couples. For this enhancement of your marriage,
place the elephant or two elephants either in your bedroom, study,
or office. A mother and baby elephant together symbolizes bonding
with children as well as fertility.
FERTILITY - The elephant also symbolizes fertility because
Buddha is said to be conceived when he entered his mother’s womb
as a white elephant. Childless couples or those wishing to have
more children should place elephant images in their bedroom to
increase fertility luck. A set of seven elephants bring fertility
luck to childless couples since the number seven represents children
in Feng Shui.
EDUCATION - Elephants are also used as knowledge and academic
luck for children. If you want your child to do well academically,
place an elephant and a crystal globe on their desk or
where they sit to do their homework.
GOOD LUCK - Feng Shui practitioners will place a pair
of elephants with their trunks up the front door to bring good
fortune and strength to the family. |
